We had a crime at Hillendale. Luckily, some crack Crime Scene Investigators were first on the scene. Below are photos and reflections from those investigators.

When I first saw the crime scene, I was excited to start finding who committed the crime.  I thought it was really cool that I got to solve a crime.  I wanted to find out the answer right away, but I knew I needed to investigate.

I never thought the crime scene would be so cool.  It wasn’t anything I thought it would be.  Being down in the science lab with makeshift crime scene picking evidence was fun.  I felt like I was a real detective searching for clues.  This AT theme will probably be one of the best ever!

When I first saw the crime scene, I started to feel very excited.  It looked like one person did it at first, but then suddenly the evidence began to build up against everyone else too.  Some evidence was very strange – a crunch bar, a clock, sunglasses, an ice cube tray, a clip-on earring, and a frayed towel marked ‘KG’.  I’ve still got to figure out whodunit, but this will be an exciting year for sure.

I was looking at all the objects thinking of why they would be there and how would they be needed to solve the crime.  I felt like there were still a lot of things that I still didn’t know and everything was there for a reason.  I was also surprised by the footprints, and I couldn’t wait until we started.

When I first saw the crime scene, I was wondering who was killed and what had happened.   I was feeling astounded!  It was kind of disturbing?!  In a way, I felt sorry for the man that was killed.

When I first saw the crime scene, I thought it was going to be easy to solve it.  I thought there would be some big piece of evidence that would solve the whole thing.  But I thought it would be really fun because I love mysteries.  I felt like just jumping in and touching everything.  It was really cool.

When I first saw the crime scene, I really couldn’t make sense of it.  There seemed to be a bunch of random things – a clock, sunglasses, and a guitar pick – mixed with a bunch of things that you would expect to be at a crime scene – red glasses full of liquid and a trash can.  Some of the other evidence we saw could give us some clues to figure out the crime scene.

When I saw the crime scene, I felt so excited.  Crime scenes have always excited me.  I thought it would be one of the most fun AT projects in my life.  In a crime scene there are so many clues and so much you need to find out.  It is very exciting trying to find the answer of Who, What, When, Where and Why.  I love looking at connecting clues.  That is why I love the crime scene unit.
