The Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty was designed by a young sculptor by the name of Fredric-Auguste Bartholdi. The Statue of Liberty has been a tourist attraction for a very long time. It was shipped in pieces and in 1886 it was finished being put together on Ellis Island. The statue stands 152 feet without the pedestal. With the pedestal it reaches 306 feet high!
