Hillendale Reminders:
- UCFSD Emergency Closing Number is 850.
- Please Note! When the threat of weather that may cause an emergency closing at school is eminent, please review your child's emergency plan with them.
- All visitors and volunteers must sign in when entering the school. PLEASE TURN OFF all cell phones when entering the building.
- Please call the Hillendale office at 610-388-1439 (and when prompted press #1) before 9:30am to report a student's absence. In addition to calling the absence line, students must turn in a handwritten note when returning from an absence within 3 days of the absence with the reason why they were not in school.
- Please check the lost and found regularly. We accumulate many items in the lobby that must belong to someone.
- Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately during cold weather. We do not want children outside without coats during the winter season.
- Bus Notes! Please be sure that both children - the invited and the host - have bus passes. Last minute phone calls put the office staff in a real pinch.
- Drop Off students at the circle entrance between 8:40 and 8:55 (THIS IS A DROP OFF AREA ONLY! - There is NO PARKING in this area until after 3:10pm)
- Students coming in later than 8:55 must be signed in at the office by an adult.
- Pick ups at the end of the day will be in the LGI. Parents CAN PARK in the circle playground area after 3:10. Parents should come through the circle entrance and proceed to the LGI.
- Kindergarten MID-DAY drop offs and pickups are in the office.
- All parents who are driving out of the parking lot are asked to please follow the arrows and signs for traffic flow. Parents who use the entrance as an exit cause a very serious traffic issue for busses and other parents coming for pick up.
- Please be sure to read over the notes from the nurse that appear from time to time. It is our goal to keep Hillendale a healthy place throughout the year.
- Please do not park in front of the school in the "NO PARKING" area.
- Please remember that all PTO and School Events are family oriented. Students must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Please remember that any plans to take your children out of school for educational trips must be submitted to our school office at least 3 days in advance. We recognize that emergencies do occur, but planned trips must be submitted in advance. Failure to do so can result in illegal absences.
