Veterans Day On November 10, 2000 students from Hillendale Elementary honored veterans. One by one the 5th graders presented the veterans they knew, or are related to, certificates of appreciation. Frank Yarosh, the guest speaker, described his experiences in a WWII German P.O.W (prisoner of war) camp. He stayed there for three months! This celebration was to honor all veterans, not just the 30 some veterans that attended. Every year Hillendale honors veterans for what they did for our country. By: Jaclyn
