What could Albert Einstein and Mia
Hamm have in common? Both were among the heroes chosen by
Mrs. Weigand's class for their Hyperstudio presentations.
After working on their projects during the second marking
period, the students of Room 14 shared their hero
presentations with their parents at a Polar Bear Picnic
on January 28, 2002. Students shared multi-media
presentations with their parents which included personal
definitions of a hero, biographical information about him
or her, and how they hope to emulate qualities of this
important figure in their own lives. Before the
presentation student and parents enjoyed a lunch of hero
sandwiches (of course!) and ice cream treats in the
L.G.I.. What better way to take a brrrrreak from the
winter doldrums than to share heart-warming stories of
role models and a picnic in January? Mrs. Weigand's class
sends warm thanks to all who participated in this
event!
