Our field trip to Valley Forge National Park was not only educational, it was fun! We toured the park on a bus. On parts of our bus tour we visited: The Memorial Arch, which was dedicated to the soldiers who had struggled through the long winter at Valley Forge, log cabins that the soldiers stayed in, Washington's Headquarters and the visitors center. Also displayed there were guns, weapons and games the soldiers used during that time.
Going there gave us a great perspective on what things were like at the encampment in 1777-78. It was a very cool experience, and we hope to go back again!
