The fifth graders at Hillendale went on a field trip to Historic Philadelphia during the month of April. During the trip we visited Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell (it was a real crack-up!), Carpenter's Hall, First and Second Bank, Ben Franklin's house, the Betsy Ross house, candy stores and cartoon city. Some of us even went on a horse and buggy ride. Our only regret is that we couldn't sign that constitution. Philadelphia is a great place to hang around with your buddies and learn about history.
