Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week was a huge success at Hillendale. Each day of the week had something special to offer the students. This years theme for Red Ribbon Week was that "Drugs Have NO Place in My Future" and since it coincided with Halloween week we at Hillendale said, "Boo to Drugs."

  • On Monday each student was presented with a ribbon. The red ribbon was worn throughout the week as a pledge that "Drugs Have NO Place in My Future." We also gave each class long pieces of red ribbon from the MADD organization to tie on trees, poles, etc. around the school grounds.
  • Tuesday was Wear Red Day and the Positive Air performance. The Positive Air assembly program was spectacular. For pictures and information about Positive Air please click HERE.
  • Wednesday the students worked on their Halloween cut outs containing an anti-drug slogan which were then displayed on the large board in the front lobby.
  • On Thursday the students displayed their anti-drug pumpkins which they designed as part of a school wide art project.
  • On Friday treats were distributed in a bag with the theme "Say Boo to Drugs" on it.
  • A special thanks to our school nurse Mrs. Bronson for coordinating RED RIBBON WEEK.
