Start your engines and get ready to read!!!!
The fourth grade reading race is about to begin!!!!!To participate, each child "racer" will receive coupons good for 15 minutes of reading. We ask you to verify this reading by initialing the coupons. Children will hand in their coupons daily to their class representative, who will record and total the amount read. The race cars will then be moved the matching distance on the "Speedway". Our racetrack is the circular hallway around the library and 4th grade classrooms. The Library is our pitstop to stock up on more books!!
We hope everyone will participate in this exciting event. We planned it to help celebrate the national Read Across America program. We're starting our race on March 2, which is Dr. Seuss' birthday! The race will continue through the month of March. We will announce the leaders each day.
