In government we decide on special events and special days.  We also try to make the school more enjoyable for people.  We work on problems suggested by our fellow students.

     Student Government has one governor, four senators, and one representative for each class.  We were elected by students of Hillendale Elementary to represent the fourth grade.

     Some of the special days and events that we sponsored are PJ day, wacky hair day, Holiday wear day, wacky clothes day, backwards day, team clothes day and twin day.  These are just some of our imaginative and creative ideas from the fourth grade student government.

     To do our work, we break up into committees where we each work on different branches of our government.  Our committees are the recess committee, cluster mixing committee, events committees, cafeteria committee and the clubs committee.  We go out of our homerooms at 10:30 A.M. on Mondays to work on all these important decisions.  We only have a half-hour, but we manage to get this all in.
